Get Well, Angel

A very dear friend of mine was in a car accident yesterday morning, she's currently listed in critical condition in the ICU. We all thought it would be a good idea to send her cards so that when she wakes up, she can see how many people love her. It's nothing fancy but I whipped up this card for her last night. I know I ordered that Angel Anya stamp for a reason! This is for you KT!!!

The Angel stamp was colored with Copic markers, I only have a basic set right now, and attached to the card with foam for dimension. I also put white glitter on the wings, though you can't really tell in this pic.

You can find this super cute stamp at The Greeting Farm.

As always, if you have Get Well cards you want to share, feel free to post them or email them to me & I can post them (and credit you) so others can enjoy!

unexpected

I already got my stamps from Stampotique and they are so much more amazing in person. And so worth the price. They may seem a little pricey but they are HUGE! I'm so excited and can't wait to start making gothy goodness with them!

Rockstar Pin

A while back I went to a crop for National Scrapbooking Week and wanted something, well, crafty to wear. And me being obsessed with Tim Holtz, I bought some grunge board and found this super sweet Rock Star pin on YouTube by Margot Potter, The Impatient Crafter. Check it out, it rocks!

Here's a pic of all the parts; the wings are painted with Distress Crackle Paint in Faded Jeans, the heart in Distress Crackle Paint in Worn Lipstick and the crown in Ranger Adirondack Metallic Acrylic Paint Dabber in Gold.

Here's a close up of the heart

Here's the finished product, all glued together and put on a pin-back

I just fell hard...

I am MADLY in love with these stamps by Daniel Torrente & Jill Penney. I first saw the "Smile" stamp on MadeByFee but you can find their gothy morbid awesomeness at Stampotique.com. They give me JTHM flashbacks! (If you know what that means, you're my new best friend). I'm about to order 7 stamps and I have another 10 in my wishlist. Can't wait to use them!!! Go buy some and share your creations here :)

Father's Day Card

Father's Day totally snuck up on me so I whipped up a couple of these origami tie cards I found online. Very easy to make, super cute and of course I had to grunge it up a la Tim Holtz.
