Thankful for you

Here's a quick card I put together for my boyfriend's mother. She invited me into her home for Thanksgiving so I thought I'd show my gratitude with a simple card.

Hot Mess Card

As some of you may know, my baby sister was recently in the hospital. She's out now and doing much better so I decided to make this campy get well card for her. It's kind of a long story behind the whole idea of the card but it was basically inspired by one my favorite shirts (at the moment) and a debate about whether or not you should reheat pancakes...don't ask. Anyway, here's the shirt.

And here's my card...I'm confident you can see the inspiration. I just used the Cricut to cut out the lettering and handmade the pancakes using cardstock and ink for detail, complete with a clear glaze to replicate the syrup.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...Halloween, of course!

Here is this year's Halloween card. It took a lot of work to make such a simple card but I was very happy with it!

I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder on Stampin' Up paper, then I distressed the edges and smudged it with black and white ink. On the outer edges of the front of a plain black card, I stamped a Tim Holtz background stamp and covered it with Perfect Pearls and placed the embossed paper on top. Then my favorite part is this cute little creepy guy from Stampotique that I stamped, colored with Copic markers and attached with foam for dimension. Inside I just put a ticket that was made using the Tim Holtz ticket die and his Halloween ticket stamp, that I colored using his Distress Inks.

Hope you like it!
